Bent Stiansen

Bent Stiansen began as an apprentice chef at Hotel Continental in 1980. There, he was also a chef before he went to Alain Chapel (who has 3 stars in the Michelin Guide) outside Lyon in order to gain a better understanding of French culinary arts with the famous master chef. At 23 years old, Bent became a chef at the Hotel Continental's prestigious restaurant, Annen Etage. In 1990, he won the first culinary championship in Norway. Three years later, Bent was the first Scandinavian to win the world's culinary championship, the Bocuse d'Or, which was held in Lyon, France.
